Your absolutely right that with present predictions ( which are conservative by many scientific estimates.) large areas of the U.S. and world's coastlines are going to change radically over the course of this century. Try and tell the Coastal and Riverside Mayors and town councils and commissions that. They don't want to hear it. Almost everyone of them is in deep denial on this topic. Most really believe they can hold off this through so called beach replenishment and dune building. The problem is that we are all like the frog in the slowly boiling pot of water. By the time the frog realizes he's cooked it's to late to jump. So too it will be with all of us and global sea rise. More and more $$ is going to be thrown heedlessly into the sea and all along right up until the last the pols will tell everyone it's going to be ok. Until, OH SHIT!
